Ancillary Feed Back

As part of this process I felt a good idea would be to get feedback on my ancillary task, which included my digi pack and advert. To get this data I collected it from my target market. I asked 10 people to go onto my blogger and look at my digi pack and advert design and to give me feed back.  Everyone I asked liked both designs and felt they would do well in promoting and selling the artist through the use of photos and style of design. They liked the font style that is used as it goes with the genre of music and style of artist. Many of them commented about the editing of the photos, and how I had used colour with black and white, making it eye-catching and memorable as it was different. They felt the layout was successful as all the writing was clear and easy to see and read. As well as the comments being positive there were some negative comments on both the digi pack and the advert. Many people said due to the style of the photos used it was clearly linked to the music video, therefore it became unclear as to whether it was an album or a single. Another comment was the colour choice of the font. People said that it was quite a feminine choice and suggested more masculine colours such as blue, green and orange.

Overall I found gathering feedback from my target very useful. Since I got this feedback I decided to change my digi pack and advert. I took more images of my singer in a different location and with different clothing. By doing this it would clearly show that its a realise of an album and not a single. I have also decided to chagne the font colour to blue. I feel this colour is more sutiable for the singer and the genre of music. I have decided to keep the same font style as I think it goes well with the genre of music and the artist himself. I have included the graffiti wall in this digi pack, as this will link the album and the music video together, but in a more discrete way. On the first page of the leaflet I created many images of the artist in the style of a polaroid frame, this makes the page intresting and eye-catching, which is similar to my first digi pack through the use of the photos being in colour and black and white. The photos are variyed in shot and style, therefore this makes it intresting and helps to promote the artist in different ways. Each polariod includes the song names which are featured on the album, informing the reader. I have included two other pages from the booklet, which include a large image of the artist and the lyrics to two of his songs which are featured in the album. Therefore once I had created my new digi pack I designed my new advert in the same style, to link them together. I used the same photo that is on the front cover of the album to link them together. I used a white font to make it standout and be bold against the image. The same blue that is on the album cover has been used to help link them together, which has been colour picked from the orignal image, to get them exact. The advert includes information to inform the reader, however doesnt include a lot of text to make the poster eye-catching and standout.

Overall I feel that this is a more successful digi pack and advert as it is not the same as the music video, but still has some elements to link them together. The digi pack and advert clearly show the genre of music and promote him as an artist.
