Digi Pack Designs

As you can see throughout the construction stage I have created a variety of different layouts, however I felt none were suitable. Therefore I decided to look at existing digi packs as this would help me with the presentation and ideas for mine. I found this very useful and begun to create my own from what I had found out. With all of these designs they include the same font style, but I have experimented with different images and layouts, overall I am pleased with all of these designs and feel that with more development it would be suitable. This time when creating the different designs I ensured that all the different sections worked well together but at the same time weren't to much when they are all together.
On photoshop I edited the photos  to make the background colour and the main subject into black and white. This made it interesting, different and standout. I then colour picked from the background and used these colour throughout the rest of the different sections to link them all together, for example the colour of the font. I tried different images behind text to see what worked as I felt in previous designs that the image would hide the text and therefore make it hard to read.
On the front cover I included an image of the artist which I think conveys him as an artist and the genre of song. I also included the name of the album and the artist name. On the back pain I included the track list, barcode and the artist website. On one of my last designs I felt it would be a good idea to include the logo of the artist record label, as this would help to promote.
For the CD rom panel I decided that just a simple colour would be effective as I felt when it included a picture it was to much and didn't go well with the style of the rest of the digi pack. On the insert I looked at just including a close-up image of the artist as the image on the front doesn't fully show his face, therefore helping to promote him. On the other hand I felt this was a bit boring so I thought about including a small sample of a few songs that are featured in the album. I think this makes the page also more interesting and is informative to the reader. On the other hand I feel that the text dominates the page and therefore we dont focus on the artist. Therefore I shall try a variety of different desgins to overcome this issue.  Overall I am pleased with these design and my favourite is my last design, therefore I shall be improving on this design for my final digi pack design.
Now I have got a good idea of what my digi pack will look like I shall now carry on creating my advert to ensure that they work well together and link.
