Font Styles

As you can see I have looked at different font styles for the name of the artist for the Digi pack and the name of the album. I looked at font styles that would go with the genre, story and settings of the music video. Many of the fonts are decorative font styles as I felt this style would be most appropriate and successful. A lot of the fonts have a graffiti style to them. I felt this could work as the setting for the music video is placed by a wall covered in graffiti, therefore linking them together. All of the fonts are bold and standout making them eye-catching and memorable. When choosing my best fonts I shall ensure that the font style for the artists name and the font style for the album name are   similar as they need to work well and complement each other and to help create a house style for the digi pack.

When analysing the names for the artist I liked the majority of them and feel that they are an appropriate style for the genre of the artist and the genre of music. A lot of the font styles are bold, large and clear to read, therefore this is good as it will make it clear and easy to read. A lot of these font styles are unique and are therefore memorable. The font styles are decretive which fit in with the target audience age of 15-20 as its fun and exciting. However due to the fonts being decretive on a few occasions the letters have be distorted and are therefore unclear, making the word hard to understand.

I also liked many of the font styles for the name of the album. Like the name of the artist the font styles are bold and clear making them visible and easy to see. I decided to look at more different fonts rather than just graffiti styled fonts as this would broaden my ideas, giving me more of a choice and more variety. When comparing both fonts styles I prefer the none graffiti style writing. I also feel this will be more appropriate and standout on the digi pack as many of the images will include the graffiti wall, therefore the name will not standout. With the other style fonts they are still appropriate as they fit in with the genre of the artist and the song. When i am creating the digi pack i shall try out a lot of the font styles to ensure i pick the vest and most suitable one.
